Where my husband used to work, one of the other employees had placed a soda machine and a snack machine in the break room. With their boss's permission, he was able to make some side money based on the profits he made in the machines. Even with a small handful of employees at their company, he was still making a pretty decent amount of money.
I've often wondered what all work was required in getting and maintaining these machines. Would it be worth it for us to invest in a couple of machines that we could place at his current company? Would it be worth our time and money?
In 1990, Vendstar made it possible for individuals to earn money through their own snack vending machines in the United States. In 2003, they expanded their business into other countries. They continue to grow daily, both by numbers of people in the vendstar business, and by the equipment they offer.
One of these days, we might just decide to put a machine at his work. For now, though, we'll just add it to the list of possibilities.
