We had a little surprise in the mailbox on Saturday. It was another postcard from Gail, who previously sent the postcard of the Salem Witch in the pumpkin (just as the two postcards from Minnesota were from the same sender).
This postcard takes its history from the children's book Make Way For Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. The story takes place in Boston, and these duck statues were made in the Boston Public Gardens in honor of the ducks in the story. The eight little ducklings following the mommy duck definitely make a great site to see!
I have a friend who lives in Boston. Should I be lucky enough to go visit her, I would love to stop by the Gardens to see these statues (and I'm sure the kids would love it, too!).
