Two new cards from Gail

I have mentioned Gail before. She lives in Massachusetts, and she has sent us several postcards through a private trade. The first cards came from Boston and Salem, and then she recently sent us a card from Roswell, New Mexico (the one featuring the alien faces). Over the weekend, we received two new postcards from her. These also came from her trip to New Mexico. The first came from Chaco Canyon, which holds Pueblo Bonita, the largest ruin unearthed so far. She says that you can actually walk into some of the rooms. It really is neat to see (and the scan of the postcard doesn't seem to do it justice)!

The second card came from The 4 Corners, where Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico all meet in perfect corners. It is the only place in the United States where states meet in perfect corners like this, and she said she had the opportunity to stand in all four states at the same time. How neat is that?!

The postcards were a great surprise. I am really enjoying this project with my children!
